Concordia Projects: Streamer

Streamer

Streamer (#21) underwent extensive restorations at the Concordia Company and is currently in commission in Islesboro, Maine. In order to facilitate these restorations Rusty Aertsen (also owner of #59 Snowbird and a Concordia 31 footer named Kestrel) and Brodie MacGregor of Concordia put together a partnership to purchase Streamer. In addition to Rusty and Concordia Company the partners in Streamer are Roger Burke of Ipswich, MA, and Jim Crawford of Brookline, MA.

At the time of purchase Streamer suffered from significant deferred maintenance and our primary mission has been to "save the boat", concentrating initially on the structural issues.

The Streamer restoration has included 18 complete frames and 20 sister frames, 13 floors, 17 planks, new stern post, new deadwood, new bridge deck and main cabin bulkheads and a complete rebuild of the galley and main cabin areas. In addition the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems have been checked and upgraded.
